1940’s Australian bush tea party
One of our daughter’s friends was turning 16 and wanted a 1940’s style tea party in a wooded grove on their family farm. It was so delightful planning this party as we are very close friends with the family and I was graciously given free reign over the styling and baking!
Noah’s Easter Christening
A week before easter, I received a phone call from a lovely client who wanted a cake for her dear little grandson’s Christening which was to be celebrated on Easter Sunday. When she casually mentioned that his name was Noah, I knew right away that this would be an opportunity to create something very special. Our family has a Heavenly son called Noah and I felt such a heart connection to this display.
High tea Luncheon
It was my birthday last week.
I had a revelation that I didn’t want to wait until one of those large ever looming big digit numbers to celebrate, SO
I decided to throw common sense to the wind and host myself a tea party!!!
Shabby pink & mint Baby Shower
What could be sweeter than planning a gorgeous shabby baby shower for a dear little girl called Imogen? I was delighted to have the opportunity to create this display using soft pink, mint and white as the colour scheme. I wanted everything to be easy on the eye and full of feminine flair!
Burlap and Lace baby shower
Welcoming new life into the world is one of the greatest joys we can experience.
Whether it is a first baby or a fourth, each new life needs to be celebrated.
Our vintage Christmas
It is my absolute pleasure to share with you our family Christmas dinner. I enjoyed all of the preparation immensely and honestly found it all so simple to create the look I was after. I chose rustic red and white for my colour theme, bringing in different textures and fabrics as well as combining vibrant red and whites with more earthy natural tones.
I loved using brown paper and string with bells and wooden christmas decorations to wrap the presents and display them throughout the table.
Yellow vintage baby shower
I had the immense pleasure of planning and hosting a baby shower for a friend of mine who is expecting her third baby. She loves bright colours, particularly yellow and orange. I decided to go with a yellow vintage theme…not too soft and pale, not too bright and cheesy….a beautiful mix of yellow ginghams, checks, brown spots and a few little duckies.
Loving lilac
One of our dearest little Lambs turned 6 last week. Such a sweet little thing.
A real cutie patootie!
Each year in October our two Jacaranda trees blossom.
They are a sight to behold.
This year I decided to start a new family tradition and have at least one tea party under the beauty of these remarkable trees every Spring.
