In January we took our five youngest daughters over to Western Australia to be the prettiest flower fairies at our niece’s wedding, while our oldest three were overseas on their missions trips. I have never been to Perth. While the idea of flying across this vast country with five young’ns was a tad daunting, we were all looking forward to an adventure. And what an adventure it was.
Unfortunately we had to face many difficult challenges, starting with a traumatic flight over as one of our Lambs got critically ill, needing medical attention and giving her parents quite a fright. An ambulance met the plane in Perth and she was taken to Princess Margaret Children’s hospital where timely antibiotics set her on the path to recovery.
Despite the ongoing difficulties, we were able to see some of the beauty of Western Australia, often only from the window of the car. I was fascinated by the colour of the ocean and the diverse and rugged texture of the landscape, which is very different to the luscious sub tropical scenery we enjoy over here on the East Coast.
I hope you enjoy seeing a snippet of the West Coast through my eyes. We weren’t there for long, but as you can see, some precious moments were enjoyed by our little troopers. We were all especially excited to see the Indian Ocean and dabble our feet in the crystal clear blue water.
Stay tuned for photos of our little garden fairies at the wedding. xx
It looks like you guys had heaps of fun! I couldn’t believe how fast your five younger girls have grown up. They are getting so bug!! I hope that you are all well!!!
