Whenever I host a party, I always give a lot of thought to the invitations. This is the first contact your guests will have with your event and you want to lure them in with a dose of handmade gorgeousness. I know custom made printable invitations are all the go at the moment, and yes, they are lovely. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer the feel of ribbon, lace, pretty paper, string and buttons. By taking the time to create your own invitations, you are building a sense of anticipation in your guests and heightening their expectation that your event will be one to remember!
Vintage woodland Christmas
I am very excited about sharing my Woodland Christmas table with you. Our family celebrated together in late November before our oldest three left for missions. Months ago I decided on this whimsical theme and began searching for moss table runners, tree slices, berries and gold deer topped mason jars..(which I could NOT find anywhere on the web or in the shops until last week!!) Not to worry, I found some christmas decorations and spray painted them gold before gluing them onto mason jars.
Mary Had a Little Lamb Party
Every year in October our beautiful Jacaranda trees bloom. Last spring I made a resolution to start a new family tradition by having an annual tea party under these spectacular trees.
This birthday garden party was the inaugural celebration.
Sweet Love xx
You can tell someone has serious cupcake obsession when those scrumptious little delights become your babies.
It’s true. I spent every spare minute in the holidays lovingly tending to my dear sweet sugar flowers, ensuring every petal was painted, every pearl in place, caressing each delicate flower like a newborn babe. (Of course it had nothing to do with the fact that my baby is two and a half and my maternal instincts may be craving that insatiable longing to hold another warm, snuggly newborn of my own…)
Vintage cake stand
What’s not to love about my new vintage cake stand? It is made of tin, with beautiful pastel colours and a definite retro ‘housewifey’ look about it!
Seriously loving the styling potential.
Welcome to the cake stand collection, little tin treasure.

1940’s Australian bush tea party
One of our daughter’s friends was turning 16 and wanted a 1940’s style tea party in a wooded grove on their family farm. It was so delightful planning this party as we are very close friends with the family and I was graciously given free reign over the styling and baking!
Noah’s Easter Christening
A week before easter, I received a phone call from a lovely client who wanted a cake for her dear little grandson’s Christening which was to be celebrated on Easter Sunday. When she casually mentioned that his name was Noah, I knew right away that this would be an opportunity to create something very special. Our family has a Heavenly son called Noah and I felt such a heart connection to this display.
High tea Luncheon
It was my birthday last week.
I had a revelation that I didn’t want to wait until one of those large ever looming big digit numbers to celebrate, SO
I decided to throw common sense to the wind and host myself a tea party!!!
