This is the first naked cake I have made. I have been admiring them for a long time and finally found just the right recipe and occasion to give one a go!

This Gingerbread cake  comes from the incredible talent of Call me cupcake. (Just keep scrolling down until you reach her recipe). The best part of the recipe is grinding your own cardamon pods and cloves to add to the gingerbread spice mix. The flavour is truly insane. The generous helping of cream cheese frosting between the layers adds to the gorgeous ‘naked’ look of the cake. This cake was very easy to make, and looks so fab on it’s own that you will want to tuck in right away..
